O'Brian Muehleisen Architecture Studio is a full service Architecture Studio begun in 2000 by Architects Brian O'Brian and Carl Muehleisen. Originally an acronym for Organizing Massive Amounts of Stuff , the nomenclature continues to evolve into multiple expressions of the same practice, focusing on the implementation and manifestation of both theoretical and practical architectural issues.
Upon completion of their Architectural training from the New Jersey School of Architecture, and a succession of project opportunities through other offices, O'Brian and Muehleisen initiated their joint Works with an ever-developing Manifesto on their practice of Architecture. Omas isinterested in making an Architecture that complements and reflects the uniqueness of each client, program and place, while pursuing the transcendent qualities that make space, among them metaphor, light, shadow, mass, void, earth, sky, water, body and memory. Coupled with a search for the sublime, their combined backgrounds in both design and construction bring an appreciation of craft and a critical eye to the means, methods and fabrication of form and space.
